Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum

Travel through time as you explore the different historic buildings of Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. Divided into three zones, the museum's collection includes preserved, relocated and recreated buildings from different periods and styles. See houses of middle-class families as well as influential individuals, taverns and pre-war shops, public bathhouses and more.

Kawagoe Matsuri

Held on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of October, this dynamic festival features two-story floats painted with red and black lacquer and garnished with gold leaf. At the very top of the float is a doll that embodies the float's central theme. These floats are paraded around Kurazukuri Street with plenty of cheer, dance and song. Join the festivities and make merry the traditional Japanese way.

Showa Kinen Park

A vast park that will take a whole day to fully explore. Showa Kinen Park is a popular sightseeing spot for flowers of every season including cherry blossoms, tulips and poppies. In fall, the park also comes alive with hues of red and orange as autumn foliage marks the season. Massive in size, the park includes cycling trails, a dog run, a bird sanctuary, and a barbecue garden among other attractions.

Grape Picking at Miyashin Farm

For just JPY 1,500 (adult price), you can eat all the grapes you can at Miyashin Farm. Varieties include red grapes, Kyoho, Shine Muscat and more! Get your fill of delightful fruits and go home with a happy tummy. Season starts in September.

Akebono Kodomo No Mori (Moomin Theme Park)

The whimsical world of the Finnish illustrated character Moomin comes to life in this public park full of curious buildings that look they've popped straight out of a children's book. With the enchanting landscape of Saitama as a background, the park serves as a massive and charming playground for both children and adults with a sense of adventure. The park becomes even more magical in autumn, when the colors of the surrounding foliage turn into fiery hues of orange and red.

Kinchakuda Park

Kinchakuda Park gets its name from its shape, which resembles that of a traditional coin purse called 'kinchaku'. The park is most famous for the millions of spider lilies that bloom from mid-September to mid-October, dressing the park in vibrant red. The autumn colors, as well as the surrounding greenery, makes the area a sight to behold.

Tsukinoishi Momiji Park

From late October to the end of November, this park turns bright red and gold with the autumn leaves of Japanese maples (known as momiji). It is considered one of the most beautiful spots to visit in Nagatoro during the fall, especially during the fall festival when it is lit up after dark. During the summer, the bright green leaves and cool breezes from the nearby river make it a pleasant picnic spot.
