Awaiting you are Fuji and the five lakes that surround it, as well as the unique landforms formed by the volcanoes that are still active today. Don't miss the beautiful Shiraito Falls in Fujinomiya City, where the ecotour takes place, with its hundred of waterfalls of various sizes cascading down like silken thread.

National Park Highlight #2

Culture

Fuji has been the object of people's faith since ancient times. Fujinomiya City has developed as a center of Mt. Fuji worship, including the power spot Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, the head shrine of the Fuji faith in Japan. Hokusai's "Thirty-six views of Mt. Fuji" is one of the most beloved series of ukiyoe works depicting landscapes with Mt Fuji. The most famous of these, "Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit", is said to have been painted from Mt. Yuno, where the ecotour will take place.
